Default Classic Bootlid - Remove Lock - easy?

Hey all,

I'm looking at getting a replacement bootlid very soon - mine was damaged when someone shunted my scoob whilst I was stationary. The repair job has not been perfect.

I plan to get a replacement - respray if needbe - and fit.

The only thing I am unsure of is removing the lock mechanism and replacing with the one off my current bootlid.

Looking at it I think I need smaller hands! But is this a real pain of a job, or easy when you know how?

Cheers

very easy mate remove carpet if fitted, the lock will have a spring clip holding it to the panel and small plastic clip holding the rod to the lock barrel (you'll see when you get there) and remove, the lock catch is the easy as well just remove the bolts 12mm? take off the wire, and remove refit as stripped, if you are worried about getting wrong putting it back together take a picture on your phone for reference, hope this helps
