Jap classic WRX
Hello from across the Atlantic. (CANADA)
I have a 1992 WRX I imported from Japan. I was directed here by nasioc.com members because I couldn't find the proper info there. They suggested this site because you guys have grey market scoobs and might be able to answer my questions.
Here is the question:
What is the spring rate is on my '92 GC8 WRX?
I searched but can't find the answer anywhere.
I am looking for a spring to drop the WRX by 1/2 inch and slightly stiffer (maybe +30 lb-inch).
Also If anyone has any info on these stock struts that would be great. Are they WRX specific? How do they differ from Ver5/6 struts or STi GC8 struts?
Basically anything you can tell me about the gc8 WRX non STi suspension.
Thanks .
Pic whorrage for reference:

PS. More pics available upon request.

depends how far you wanna go.
coilovers are for bigger drops but more expensive, or a set of lowering springs, such as eibachs (on mine and very good indeed) will drop it and wont break the bank

^ Thanks, but I don't think you read the question.
I'm looking for info on my stock suspension. What are the 92 WRX spring rates?
I know what kind of a drop and how much stiffer than stock I want to be, but I am missing the info on that stock baseline.
PS. I don't want to do the coilover thing again, they suck ***** on public roads.

Do you have any idea where you got that info?
The comment on the coilovers is coming from personal experience. I like them when i track my 180sx, but I drive it daily and it is really stiff/bumpy on the crap roads we have in Canada.
Hi from the UK
I would post this question in the technical suspension section.
You are more likely to get a specfic answer
