Drove in today from Cambridgeshire (A11/M11) as I did all last week
Traffic light. Usual milestone in Bow was achieved in under 1hr, which for normal (pre-train troubles ) rush-hr traffic is v.good. Sprog to nursery & to work in Wapping, total time 1hr 20
Return home 1hr 5 (from nursery).
Work level at work - LOW! Whereas last week we were doing 1/5th normal totals (holidays & snow), today was only 1/3rd (when we would've expected higher due to return to work etc).
Historically (over the last 7 years) we do roughly 50% pre-xmas totals so based on todays low job count & the v. light traffic, I would say you had an excellent chance of reasonable journey times commuting in & out of London this week, despite increase due to trains. Additionally, Xmas shopping junckets have ceased, so further reducing congestion.
Enjoy for the short period anyway...
{Edited for explanation)
Should have said that we are an on-demand motorcycle courier company.

I drove into work today in Docklands and the traffic was very light. It is probably to do with the kiddies not being back at school 'till next week (so I am told).

** Update **
This morning, the "mongs" were back
However, traffic was still light, 2 minutes positional marker down on yesterday, but total journey took 1hr 15 due to the fact that sprog is with neighbour today. Extra time for nursery is generally 5-10 mins.
I did hear that M3 SW of Camberley is well worth avoiding...
