Picked up my copy of Fast Car mag the other day for the Scooby / Jap Car Rolling Road Shootout! This day was held back in Nov thanks to Scatman Shaun the article doesn't say too much but who cares as nearly every pic in there has me in it

I was weighing the cars down on the rollers to stop any slipping from the rear (No Jokes!) Its a good way to put faces to the names if you haven't met any of the Scoobynet lot, but be careful of Danny Fisher! (Wanted in South London)

Shame the article didn't reflect enough on JohnF's Cossie Westy or Bennys GTR, plenty of pics of Shaun in there with his 325BHP Cossie which is still slower than a 253BHP 22B

what happened was they couldnt get the fans near my intercooler, so as soon as the revs started to rise the charge temp went through the roof and the ignition was backed off big time.

Take a look at my dyno plot, its mental, i have 300Ft/lb of torque at 3300rpm and then it all just turns to poo.

 

Seeing as they had the rolling road day featured, I went and bought fast car for the first time in years... and I felt a bit like a perv buying a porno mag!!
If you look at the feature you'll note that the scoobs are in descending order of BHP (except Stef's, for some reason?)... and I was pretty pleased to spot my humble '95 WRX just below an STi V and just above a 22b! Nice one! Yes, yes I know it's the torque that matters on the road, but it's the BHP that counts in the pub!!
They even used a pic of my car in the mag's index 'cos it's so super-shiny!!
Oh BTW, ever since that rolling road day, my boot lid just won't shut right for some reason...
