Default Anti-Theft Valve Caps - Help!!!!

I purchased some Anti-Theft Valve caps around a month ago, put them on and screwed the small thread in with the allen key provided.

Tried to get them off today to top up the air or to check the pressure at least and it seems I've either screwed them in too tight or the thread has seized up as for some reason there is a slight bit of rust forming around the thread, even though they are supposed to be rust free. I've tried 3 different allen keys and due to them being so tightly seized up they are shearing the ends of the allen keys.

I've laced the valve caps with WD40 and have managed to get one off.

Any further advice as to how I am going to get these little ******* off??

Cheers

G

Not sure about getting them off but aren`t you supposed to put a little bit of grease on them before fitting them.

I put some fancy metal ones on my old car. When I next tried to get them off, they were locked solid. I had to leave them on until the tyres wore out and then the tyre fitter had to cut out the valve to let the tyre down. He wasn't too impressed as one nearly took his eye out. I've stuck to free plastic ones since....

I had some on mine... But the little allan key was spinning after a while and I couldnt get them off

Way I eventually got them off after hours of messing around was to get a pair of tweezers and i could 'just' touch the little screw bit so unscrewed them by holding the whole screw if you know what I mean... like a pair of mole grips... Have I made sense ???

Got one of the ******* off so the WD is working to an extent but the others won't budge, laced them again with WD so will try in the morning.

Failing that I'm going to treat them to a nice dose of fire which will hopefully loosen things up, probs a ciggy lighter.

If no luck after that out come the mole grips to get them off.

What a pain in the ****!!
