Hi All.
Ive been working away for a couple of weeks and getting back yesterday took my scooby for a spin and a wash. To my horror on all the flat panels of the car there was tiny spots of rust. I dont mean one or two but hundreds. They were tiny pieces of metal embedded into the paintwork. I have cleaned most of them off and polished the car like mad but there is lots of tiny black marks left.

I have just found out, before I went away my car was in my unit and one of my d*ckhead staff was welding a tipper and ground out the steelwork sending shards of hot metal all over my car.

He is close to getting the bullet and a good slapping. Can any bodywork guys
advise, do you think it can be cut and polished. I dont want to have a respray but I do want the car as was before this effing tit damaged it.
The scooby is 04 with metallic paint.

I would check your windows aswell

 

id get that c*nt to pay for being a total knohead personally. on a 3/4 year old car, i bet it looks terrible. make sure he gets the sack, or castrated.... maybe both.

for a respray, over £2k easily for metallic paint.

 

The castration will come after the money........

 

Mark sorry to her this, the chap is a pillock for doing such work close to your car.

OK then, cannot polish this out out as the metal bits will pick up in the compound and/or cloth/pad you use and damage the paint even more.

Your car will need a respray after careful prep to remove all traces, so a full and proper job, best you can afford - or he can afford. Might be an insurance job. As pointed out check your glass all around + lights/lenses for damage.

(Pivot speed meter v) will work for me. The speed limit is now at 180 kph.

No problem, it is likely your suabru dealership puts its body and paintwork out, not a problem although might be worth asking on here for reccommendations as well.
