STi vs Gallardo

STi vs Gallardo
Anyone seen the evo video? Sorry, not sure how to put up a link. STi (UK version) with Jethro Bovingdon driving does very well and keeps up on wet twisties somewhere in Wales. Maybe the worm has turned and reviewers are warming to it after the initial downer on the looks

I have no issue with the capabilities of the car, just the looks.
For instance, there are probably many ugly women who sh*g like **** stars but you wouldn't catch me with one.

Some great pictures in this month's EVO I thought. All four wheels off the ground in a couple and the rim almost on the road in another.
I like it, but the depreciation and road tax put me off.

The review with the new STI and Gallardo in this months EVO is excellent.
I'm pleased to see the new car getting good reviews and they seem to liken it in many ways handling wise to the Classic.
Looking forward to seeing the rumopured Prodrive 400bhp version later in the year. Anyone got any info on that one yet...?

Apart from those awful lights at the rear, I have to say that it is growing on me and yes, it does sound as if they're going back a bit to the handling characterstics of the earlier cars, which were better resolved for UK roads imho.

Get EVO: Read the very long article and you will see how well they checked the Sti and Lambo on those roads.
The driver of the Sti also reviewed the Spec C last issue so he had a good comparison in his head.
Still horrid to look at, but better in white than the 90's Rally Blue and gold wheels image.

i like it.
as for closed roads, seeing the scoob pass a vehicle coming the other way. additionally if you can use all of a closed road then why would you not be hitting apexes when cornering right handed bends?
