Default COOLING PROBS WRX

I just fitted a new radiator and thermostat on my car as the old rad was weeping a little, now my new one is only getting hot on the left side. I have bled it several times with engine and heaters running but the rad is still cold one side, if i rev it a little the bottom right hose swells with pressure but the rad is not heating up on that side. PLEASE HELP THANKS JIM.

leave the expansion cap off and run the car on idle,

then pump the lower hose on the right of the rad (as you look at it)

keep you arms out the way of the pulleys).

top up water as neccesary.

thats how i did mine (probably just an air lock mate)

all the best

Fitted a new rad to my car to last week, it is a pain to get the air out.Do as above leave the cap off and pump the bottom hose, bubbles will appear in the top tank. I did my fill up by pouring the anti freeze into the top hose until it could not take any more and then fitting it to the rad, you will lose some on the floor, then pumping the bottom hose (squeezing it rhythmically) and still got air out of it, it will bubble up in the header tank. Ran the car up to temp and checked for leaks. Left it over night and then toped it off in the morning, also putting some into the over flow catch pot next to the battery. Well known problem with the Scooby, air trapped in cooling after work done!Good wright up on how to do this in Total Impreza Mag last edition...not sure why the bottom hose should swell up though, is it possible to fit the thermostat around the wrong way? Not changed my thermostat so not sure....
