Are you a trained paint sprayer or have you worked in the motor trade before?

How much money do they want off you?

Talking

I have worked in the trade before doing inspection on body work and
proffesional car valeting for Jaguar's and then onto Fords.

With regards about money, not sure I was hoping for someone to tell me that.

Cheers

Dont waste ya money pal.... If you have anything about you mate you can set up on your own for 1/3 of what they will charge you.

If you have never painted profesionally before keep away m8. I have my own business doing SMART Repairs, and was a paint sprayer for 12 years before starting it.
I have seen people come and go with these franchise things and lose lots of money along the way!!!

I dont program computers just cos i can use one.....catch my drift!

Dont want to sound harsh m8 but hate to see ya get stung!

If you need any advice mail me...be happy to chat.

I was motor trade for 8 years and in my experience guys go and get trained and stay a couple of years and then set up themselves, taking all your clients with you. So beware if offered an area where the guy left and set up himself as he will have it all tied up. Speak to Jimmy Minto at Acci-dent, I will post his number for you. He was doing 30 -40 jobs a week @ £35 !! I will get you his number.

Dont get me wrong i'm not knocking it. Theres money to be made out there...It pays for my Type R !!.... but i dont know about where you are but there are lots of people doing this line of work and if you dont have experience you'll sink fast. Theres a guy in the same village as me who was made reduntany from a local petro - chemical place....took his reduntancy money and ploughrd it into a franchise thingy ( not chips away but doing same thing) and he has no work, and i'm pulling in between £1000 to £1500 a week. No experience will come out in the wash....sure i could teach you to paint a bumper but how fast can you do it? what if the paint reacts? what if the colours is slightly out? etc..etc Stick to what you know.
Chips away will take you away for a week and train you but you need more than a week...it takes years, they then take a share of your bills etc.... and as for painting chips on bonnets its a load of bo((ocks anyway!
