i have a 1996 wrx inport and i have a problem when i start the car and drive it for 5 min and turn it off to do something for 5-10 min the car wont start for about 20 min can any body help cheers

 

You don't say how you start it, or try to, so I'll post this just in case.

Especially when hot, the car does not like you to even TOUCH the throttle before starting it, or it floods.

Even if you just catch the pedal when getting in, it can cause probs.

If it DOES flood, keep cranking it on the starter, while gently pressing the throttle pedal until it reaches the floor. Release it when the car fires.

thanks for replying i never touch the throt beacuse i know it does that the car drive fines but when u drive it on a short dis and turn it off ten min later u try to start and i wont. just keeps cranking over then 20 min later it will start some does it starts after a couple times cranking it over but normaly it takes ages

had the same problem last year on my my95
crank sensor problem .this should be confirmed with an error code.

 

sounds like crank sensor breaking down.
