Default Blitz High Pressure Oil Cap, What a Load of Toilet!!!

I just purchased a Blitz high pressure oil cap for my Impreza, mainly as a bit of dress up for the engine bay.

Blitz Oil Filler Cap- Subaru on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 18-Feb-08 16:36:33 GMT)

When it arrived I as very happy with the look, but the method in which it screws to the oil filler neck, horrible.

It has this thin peice of flat metal that has two points bent down which you use to screw it into place.

Well, as I turned it into place it chewed off some of the inside of the neck making small bits of plastic swarf, that will do the engine some good.

And as for the final fit, it was weak and didn't provide a tight fit at all.

Stick with the origional oil cap, or get one with a proper screw down fit, guys. Because this Blitx one, complete toilet.

Nice looking caps Dave, didn't notice them when i came up to you.

Do you do any other caps or engine bay dress ups?

I think you mean a fake OR a copy a "fake copy" is a double negative which means that it is real .

It is possible that the oil cap does not suit Subaru, as Toyota and Nissan use that steel springy thing where the cap just turns in with a 90 degree twist. Simlar to the way a rad cap fits.

We do carbon fibre [ genuine ] parts for the under bonnet. Fuse box cover, rad slam panel deflector, alternator /Air con belts cover, etc etc for GC8 & GDA/B cars

We aren't really into shiny

Is the zig zag where the "I" should be, on genuine Blitz products?

The picture is taken straight from the Blitz website.

Blitz UK: Products > Accessories > Oil Filler Caps

As you can see, there are several different types for different models of car, sounds like they may have sent you the wrong one.
