What BHP and is this rihgt.
Hi all I have just got a WRX Wagon 1995 M reg Import, it is fairly standard apart from exhaust Dump valve and Green Mushroom filter,
It feels a bit slow to be honest I had a Volvo S70 T5 running 256 Bhp previously and this doesnt seem to pull aswell I dont know if its leaking boost I can hear the dump Valve doing its thing, its not that loud, I had a Saab 9000 with the same Bailey Dump Valve and that was really loud.
Just wondered if it seems like I may be having issues, I dont know much about these cars and I dont know if its been fiddled with, its only done about 65k.
I would really appreciate some help and advise.
Many thanks.
Sorry cant spell, Is this Right!! is what it should read.

if it was me i would take the dump valve off i think they can do more harm than good and it probably does feel a bit slower anyway as it is 220 bhp standard iirc.
i think the wrx saloon or uk wagon/saloon with the td05 turbo would of been the better choice for that age subaru but theres still a few options to get it upto 280/300bhp it might just cost you a bit more than a saloon/uk wagon because of the smaller td04turbo on the import wagon.

I think my first port of call is going to be a garage and have them take a look and make sure its running as it should do and then I can think about winding the BHP up a little 260 - 280 would be nice and comfortable.
Whats the best way to get there regardless of cost?
Many thanks Much appreciated.

depends what you want from your car matt;
280bhp full decat/sports cat, polar performance chip, panel filter. cheap and safe option.
300/340bhp decat,filter,different intercooler,different injectors,different turbo,apexi ecu or polar performance again.
oh and bigger brakes.
lots more info on search mate.
the thing is you soon get used to the power so i would go the second route if your planning on keeping it a while and you can afford the insurance.

I am just after better throttle response and generally more grunt, I think I will research into a full decat and a remap to start with.
Many thanks,
If anyone knows a decent garage/Tuner in Southampton area I would be grateful.
Matt.
