Default Engine Check light, Plz Help

Ok as above my engine check light comes on but it doesn't stay on, its not till after about 10-15mins driving when things are warming up abit. The car runs fine but if anything starts to hold back a little, I am guessing its a sensor or something? Its on a MY00 if that helps.
