How to tell if Pro-Drived?
#1
Hey peeps,
Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to see if a car has had the PPP fitted? I've looked at a car with the Prodrive BB on it and it felt considerably faster than other test drives? (Also sounded glorious!!!)
Cheers,
Paul

Open up the bonnet and check for a blue pipe that says "Prodrive".
The car will pull much faster in gear. Also all PPP'd cars should have a certificate from prodrive saying it's been done. You can also give prodrive a call and give them the chassis number and ask.
Some cars have had the PPP fitted second hand, or even just the ECU. so be careful if there's no matching certificate.

I fitted a second hand PPP to my MY00 and another thing to note is the pink STi badge on the ECU cover (located behind the kickplate in the drivers footwell, carpet needs peeling back to get at). A standard ECU will have a lime green badge and from memory I think it might say 'JECS'.
