Having tried most of the octane boosters on the market I have settled on NF from Roger Clark Motorsport in a case of 30 bottles a time.
I cannot say I have noticed any change in quality or performance.
CVL performs just as well but is excessively expensive as it is about £6.50 or £7.00 a bottle and that only does 20litres of petrol.

The group buy is 10x NF for £120.44 DELIVERED..! Which I think you'll find is a very good price. Would work out about £11 a bottle if you removed p&p..
I've recently bought x20 Millers octane plus from Alyn @ ASP for £70 inc delivery, so worth giving him a call on that..

Millars Octane Plus adds only 2 or 3 tenths of an octane per bottle per 50 litre tank of petrol.
If the car is mapped close to the edge on NF or CVL and you then try a tank on Octane Plus you will run into serious DET and your knock link if you have one will light up like a Christmas tree.

It's more of a safety thing if added and not mapped. ie. RR day, track. The gains are not as much. My car did feel smoother, but that could've been the placebo effect.

ECU would still take time to 'learn' the higher octane i believe. Might start seeing benefits on the second tank... others may know different. Mapping would make the best of it immediately of course.

Jasonius : Using the figures from the Millars link you have kindly posted, the difference between Optimax (WAS 98.3) and Optimax with Octane Plus (99.4) is 1.1 Ron. IF that information is accurate, it means that Octane Plus has been enhanced very recently because the last bottle I saw increased RON by about one third of a RON according to the packaging on the bottle.
1ml per litre NF increases RON by 1 full unit ie 10 points.

Millers CVL is not meant to be used regularly with catalytic converters (it's a lead replacement additive and not just an octane booster). Millers Octane Plus is the Millers product you should be using in Imprezas

Harvey, they changed the label about 2yrs ago iirc, although as far as Im aware it's always claimed +2ron/bottle/50ltrs..?
My car was mapped with millers/vpower and the KL lets me know if I don't put it in..!

BTW 1 bottle is 300ml, so 1/3rd bottle per tankful is about right.
Now measuring 100ml and getting it into the tank (before petrol) is another question..

You have to be very careful with your terminology or it will cause confusion.
