Just come off the phone with my dealer, who said my MY01 can now be serviced once a year instead of evey 6 months.Was due for service in Feb but now not due till August.I will still change the oil and filter in Feb myself and save a fortune on labour!

This one sounds quiet interesting.

I'd get an official letter and stick it in my service manual if this is the case. That would then give buyers piece of mind when selling..

So what have they magically done to the car to extend service intervals? Just looking at a Clio for the girlfriend and the service intervals for that are 2 years/18,000 miles which seems rediculous.

I have a contact who used to work for Intermoto in Liverpool who has now set up in Warrington sevicing scoobs.Could be a decent place to do the in between service as 10,000 is a tad long for an oil change.

I had a 7.5k service at Monksheath on Friday and they said nothing about it being 10k now, I have a WRX registered in December 2001.

7.5K, silly me it was a 1k service, it's been a hard week at the office - not.

Did you ask or just book it in,as they aren't likely to turn business away as it was still a bit of a grey area until last week.
