HOW 2 GET 400HP
IV GOT A 98 UK TURBO, ITS RUNNING 264bhp AT THE FLY WHEEL. MODS INCLUDE, FMIC, WALBRO FUEL PUMP, APEXI INDUCTION AND A FULLY DE-CATTED EXHAUST. COULD ANY ONE HELP ME WITH THE NEXT MODS PLZ? CHEERS

Your engine isnt strong enough as it is to do 400bhp, for reliability you would need a rebuild with decent internals, that wont be cheap either.
TBH anything over 330bhp will start costing you money (well anything over 270bhp will start costing you money), you would definately need to upgrade the brakes, possably the clutch and gearbox, a new ecu would be on the cards if you dont have one already.
Personally id save up and buy something that can easily run 400bhp rather than throwing your money at an MY98 car.

IV ALREADY GOT A FMIC,WALBRO FUEL PUMP, APEXI INDUCTION, FULL 3" DECATTED EXHAUST AND 4 POT BRAKES! I WOULD LIKE AN STI BUT WITH ME ONLY BEEN 20 AND GOT 3 POINTS I COULD NEVER GET INSURED!

KJ, in your other thread I forgot to mention the insurance issue. If there's one thing insurance companies hate more than young drivers with points, it's modded cars and a capacity increase. Check it out first with somebody like A-Plan insurance. Make sure you're sitting down when they quote (if they will ). Sorry mate, but I think you're stuffed on the 2.5l route

dude if you havnt told your insurance company about your mods your not insured anyway so i wouldnt worry about how much it costs! unless you got big bucks id sell the car sharpish if i were you cos with 260 odd at the flywheel which means gear box and engine bang and if your anything like i was at 20 it wont be long before that happens!! but hey wot do i care im not your dad! (woznt me) just a bit of advice from someone whos bin there and done that!! wize man say stupid is as stupid does!! its your money!!!
