Lazy buggers. I've worked non stop throughout Christmas and the new year - I'm at work as I write this. But after today I've at last got a couple of days off.
Christmas. Bah, humbug, and all that!

Colapepsi,
Once you get there & get the first day out of the way, it's not so bad.
It's the waiting around that is the wind up/tesion thing.
Best of luck anyway>>>>>>>>>>>>

Beat this: 1 week before Christmas my whole department got told there will be redundancies... just what you need.
Sure enough most people saved their pennies instead of buying presents. The HR department sent a letter out that almost sounded like a personal attack and then tell us at the bottom not to worry and have a good Christmas and New Year.. lol wtf?!
So I have lost all motivation to go back into work, trying to do as little as possible until the redundancy notice is over (lasts through the month of January) and try to find a new job. I think the thought of carrying on working after the HR department made such a shambles of the redundancy is a bit too much, morale is rock bottom as it is.
6 am start for me as well, gonna hit the gym in the morning to let off some steam!

Boosh, my dangly bits used to belong to the RAF.
After 6 years (3 to do) I told them to stick it up their dung funnel & bought myself out.
Biggest mistake was to rent a house within 10 miles of my old base.
After about a year, got a job miles away, never looked back.
Good luck.

Boosh,
my mate had the same problem.
He was a Rigger & were not letting them go.
He went to a Saudi Aircraft Seminar in London, met a Civvie Aircraft Firm he got on with.
After convincing them he knew his stuff, they came to some sort of arrangement, the RAF & the Saudi Firm.
He earned big bucks, had lots of fun & now he's @ a major UK Airport and is pretty high up.
That all started around 10 years ago.
Good luck, don't let the F***WITS Grind you down!!
Regards.
