Ext Temp?
On a MY04 where is the Ext Temp sensor as displayed on the dash?
I've had some mods done and seem to be getting slightly erratic external temp readings. One can only assume that the mods have impacted on the location of the temp sensor.

There you go then, The intercooler is probably warming the air around the temp sensor, which as stated above is clipped to the upright on the front of the slam panel,
If it's annoying you then your only option is to unclip it and move it to an area not affected by the intercooler.
In the wheel arch would probably be about as far as the cable will allow you to pull it.
