Default UK 2005 STI I/C Spray (manual) question ?

As above I have an 05 STI (UK) with the manual intercooler spray , after washing the car at the weekend I thonght I'd see if the spray actually worked or not ,I pressed the button and all I got was a very tiny drip out of the spray nozzle . The car was stationary with the ignition on , and I could hear the pump working (water tank was full too). I took the pipe off of the nozzle, and still only a drip came out of the pipe. Is this normal or does it only work when the car is moving ?

Many thanks

Dave

You know, i've never checked.

I've squirted (well, pressed the button) only about 3 times.

Traffic and hot days are not that common up here.

Must have a blockage the spray on mine covers the whole intercooler. IMO this should be auto rather than manual, can never remember to use it!

Found the problem over the weekend , the pipe was pinched where it runs behind the rear seats , decided it would be easier to find the problem myself rather than have the dealers 'ruin it' under warranty
