Subaru's tag line for it "Comfort With Agility" makes it sound like a sanitary towel

That's good bang for ya buck (which is kinda the point of these cars) Would envisage the PPP costing about 2k more if the past is anything to go by! If the rumours of 400bhp are true would think closer to 30k though!

Not bad,you might be able to pick up an EU import for around £21k.

Still the Yanks are paying around $38k,so we're still getting ripped off!

STILL looks awful. £24.99 would be dear for a Proton lookalike

If that price is correct it bring its close to the price of an Audi S3, guessing Subaru did that on purpose !

£25k for the base car but by the time you speck it up with the 18 inch alloys and recaros as most would want it will be a fair bit more expensive than the old STI price. The BBS alloys are a £1000 option in the states and japanparts are selling the recaros for £1500 each.

Right - you have 4.8 second 0-60, 300bhp, and 155mph..

What the hell do you lot expect for £25k!?!?!?!

Personally, I think its a damn good price for the car. If you want a house on wheels go buy something else..

I am starting to really like it the more I see it - and as for Sat Nav, I've got my TomTom thanks.. I don't need another one.

6 months ago one magazine predicted the WRX would cost £19995. Subaru UK stated that was dreamland and the price would be £22-£23K.

Going on that basis, the STi would have been £27-£28k.

6 months of bad publicity in all the motoring press and all internet forums later, and now the price has dropped by up to £3000 and is now less than the previous models.

Panic at Subaru UK, I think.
