TSL grpN back box and TSL deres center section will give a nice subdued rumble. I had this but found it a bit too quiet, so i de-catted it too, now it sounds nice off boost, but sounds like a rally car when on boost.

exaclty the same position i was in.. wanted to hear the burble but not upset the neighbours..
tried TSL Group N backbox but that was too quiet... then tried a de-res centre section with it but still too quiet..
so now i have a Afterburner Vortex back box and a TSL de-res centre section and its sounds perfect!!

I've got a TSL group N backbox and deresenator section on my MY07 WRX and it sounds lovely, gets a few pop backs too. It took about 4,000 miles to bed in properly and it was fitted at 100 miles the day I got the car.
I would recommend it to anyone as its well made too.

2cats. a small one in the down pipe, and a larger one in the section just after it. ('07 wrx).
if it's a TSL your after, their website is TSL MOTORSPORT | Subaru Saab Mitsubishi | parts | repair | servicing | performance tuning | UK

Does you mod affect the manufacturer's warranty?

Hi Peter,
Coming from a modded classic when i picked up the 2.5 from the dealer i couldn't tell if the engine was actually running ..... yep, I was very disappointed in the noise. But that's just the way it is with new cars these days given the current noise regs etc.
There are many arguments why PPP can be bettered, but for me it's a great product and gives a nice lump of extra performance (especially torque ) and a nice subtle grown up performance noise. I.e when the car drives past you can here and feel that it has power in a subtle way, rather than rice'd up classics which can damage your hearing when they drive past at a gentle 30mph (much like a Nova with a Peco big bore ).... way way over the top.
Tony.
