I am about to join SIDC. Had a look at their website & membership is from September 2001 to August 2002. So does that mean im loosing out on 5 months??

 

Possibly, although at some point in the year they do reduce the charge for the part year remaining. Having said that , it is not exactly an expensive membership is it?

 

I think from Jan 1st (that was the plan anyway), the membership is now done on a rolling basis. ie if you join in Jan, then your renewal will be next Jan.

In the past, the membership fee has been reduced as the year went on, so you didn't really lose out too much.

 

Well, 10% discount on servicing will get my money back straight away!!! Can i use this for discount on buying parts??

I've just "remembered" and sorted out the database bits for it. So yes, any members now will get a full 12 months.
