Default oil leak from front of engine!!!

hi i had a small leak from the front of my93 impreza engine which has now got worse, i took it out tonight for a spin and when i got back after about 20 mins i could smell burning oil from under the car,so i took a look and it has dripped oil on to the header at the front, its also dripping off of the oil filter and down the front of the sump, could anyone shed any light on this so i have some idea what to look for at the weekend
cheers graham

been there, had that..... as stated probably the left hand (as you look at it from the front) cam cover gasket...

simple to fix, make sure you get all the seals as well.
