You REALLY don't need to change the d/v until you've a fair few mods on

If you MUST spend money, buy a recirculating type.

The 'best dumpvalve at the moment' is - - - - - the one that's on the car!
And yes, I have tried blitz, turbosmart, turboxs and a few others. (in my youth obviously! )
ALL made the car very 'jerky' when applying the throttle, caused the idle speed to become erratic and made the car sound like a bus!

I had the dump valve from TSL the one with the horn on it when i had my STI Type UK 03 ..

Sounded amazing and its one of the things i miss most about my car.. but i always regretted not getting the HKS one...

The one you get with it is fine.. if you want peoples heads to turn I would go for the HKS.

Cheers

Vash

I had a Baileys d.v on my 03 STI,was a bit jerky on take off so got rid of it.If i was honest though i miss the sound a bit,not a very popular mod these days by the sound of most scooby owners.

You must buy whichever one make the loudest whoooooooshing noise, if you don't, your street cred with the chavs at MacDonalds will be zero and you'll feel like total loser!

Good luck!

nice input to the question/thread very original .

C17LME - I had a HKS SSQV dv fitted to my old Bugeye and loved it however it did stop working after about 3 years. I didn't feel any difference what so ever to the cars driving/performance. Get one if you want one and to some members of Scoobynet. Life would be very dull if we all liked the same stuff.

Wolfie.
