S202
Hi guys, I test drove the S202, and am really considering buying it. It is in perfect condition, and only has 26,000km. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

320bhp and a number of 'special' features such as an engine oil cooler and titanium muffler. A very capable car in every respect. I don't think you'd regret buying one - how much is being asked for it?

You want to speak to Rasher as he has one of these
320ps out of the factory, titanium exhaust bits (backbox), around 283lbs of torque, based on a 2002 spec C but with enhancements to the engine courtesy of STi
If its unmolested, ie standard, then buy it, if its been messed with, ie crappy body kit etc, give it a miss, these cars are not meant to be messed with (ie no silly exhausts ) as the titanium backbox alone is worth more than most after market systems

Hi Michael, please pm with details of the car and any questions that might concern you about your prospective purchase, as Tony has said I have had one of these for a couple of years so have amassed a fair amount of knowledge on them ( as you do)

Hi guys, I really appreciate your feedback. He is asking 18,000pounds, and the car is completely standard. He hardly drives the car so it is in perfect condition. Do you think it is a good buy?

He is asking 18,000pounds,
have you got a link to the advert?? Has it been remapped for UK fuel?? Has it been SVA'd??

Hi, I live in the Caribbean not in England that's why it is so cheap. I can get a 2005 STi straight from Japan for 20,000 pounds, but I am interested in this car as it is already here and they will take a trade in for my current Subaru. What do you think?
Thanks

Rasher, thanks a lot for your help! I think I'm going to get it as I really enjoyed the test drive. I'll let you know if I get it. Have you modified your one at all? I don't plan on modifying this one right now, but I'm sure I will want to in future.

Hi, I'll definately send you some pictures if I get it. You increased the torque and bhp that much with just remapping the computer? We have a drag track down here, and the other one that is here is only doing 12.9. I think it should be able to do better than that. I think the driver is moving the car off too hard so there is a lot of wheel spin. I would think it could do 12.6 standard.
Thanks for your Help

The newer STIs will have more mid-range torque and better turbo spool due to the twin scroll design, but the weight difference will negate this advantage.

Sounds good to me special. If you are going to modify it, I wouldn't mess about with it too much - best to just stick to the sort of thing Rasher has done. Good luck with any purchase.

Nothing wrong with a few personalising touches of the type you've fitted. As you say the car can be returned to standard with ease if ever desired. The S202 is right up there with the likes of the 22B etc as one of the very best ever to come from factory. It's hard to justify tinkering around with the setup.

Under the bonnet looks good. Not sure about the CF wing mirrors, but hey thats just me. If it floats your boat .
And your car is far to clean, you need to drive it!!

Very very nice car the S202. I'm sure you won't regret buying it if you do. Seem to remember EVO mag saying it was the best scooby they had driven that was straight for the factory a few years back.

Not sure about the CF wing mirrors
You would be surprised how much lighter they are than the OE fitted to the S202. I was astounded at the difference in weight!!

Finally Got It
Hi guys, I finally got the S202 and it is so much fun!! It sounds like a beast. The titanium sounds violent. I have driven faster cars than this, but this one is special. I also like that you can just cruise in it comfortably without any racing clutch to make it that much more jerky. Anyway, I will send some pictures, I will give it a service tomorrow to make sure everything is uptodate, but I am well impressed.
