Rear Fog light
Hi as u may know from a earlier thread I hav A Import 97 sti. The vehicle has a fog light switch but when I press it all it does is turn the sidelights and taillights on. When someone gave me a lights check my right hand side reverse ain't working on investigating the bulb was painted red and I could see where they hav done a connection. Is is the norm or do you guys hav a fog light fitted underneath the bumper.

Currently my "fog" light is one of my reversing lights in white
You'd be best fitting a proper fog light

Vehicle regulations specify a minimum distance between brake lights and rear fog lights of 10 cm, so a separate rear fog is fitted to get it through the SVA test at the VOSA test station. Importers often fit special SVA friendly parts to get it past that test and then strip those parts off afterwards for the next vehicle. The rear-fog-in-reverse-light mod is very popular with many because it's a neat solution, even though it is strictly illegal.

Well I've solved the problem I've brought a fog light to go underneath the bumper going in garage soon to hav it fitted and wired up. The bloke said it could cost about 80 quid.
