Default Damn didn't expect that

Just taken my car to the local scooby dealership to be told the syncros on 3rd and 2nd are worn and just been told im looking at about £1500 to put right correctly

1996 mate and i have just had a quote from a local garage for £700 were they will send it off to be reconditioned with 12month warranty 12,000miles

Maybe give API a call depending on how far away you are from Warwickshire, they have quoted me some good prices in the past but others will comment if they have other options.

ah well fella. my my99 uk turbo has 134,000 on the original gearbox and im looking at a rebuild soon. think around £700-800 for standard work is the going rate.... according to zen performance website anywho.

Did you take it in for the gearbox? ie is the gearbox playing up or did the dealer point out the problem to you?
