WHEELS AND TYRES
I want to fit 18" rims to my scooby but people have already started telling me not to go higher than 17's on the classic shape?
Also i want to know wat are the widest tyres i can fit. Can i go as wide as 225/235?
The car is lowered about 20mm on eibach (however its spelt!) springs
Cheers
Tom

IIRC Classics are 17"x7.5"J 5 stud 100mm PCD and tyre sizes are 205x45x17 or 215x40x17 for although seen a few with STi Newage wheels 17"x8"J 5 stud 100mm PCD 225X45X17 on with no problems IIRC,
Be VERY carefull if buying newage 225X45X17 specially 235X45X17 as if they have come of a MY05/06/07 carthe wheel is looks the same BUT different. 17"x8"J 5 stud 114mm PCD and won't fit a Classic.
Hope this helps

2) Subaru 17s tend to be 17x7. After-market can be 17x7.5. The trick is in the offset and the tyre size. Offset should be 50-53mm. e.g. for the P1, the 17x7 was offset 52mm, the 18x7.5 was 53mm.
3) I mentioned tyres: 205/45 or 215/40s.
4) Tyres themselves, Goodyear F1 GSD3s and Toyos T1S, T1R are popular.
