How the hell do I change the bulb in this switch??
The bulb in my rear window heater switch has blown, but I can't figure out how to get the switch out to replace the bulb, I have unscrewed the sliding cup holder, but I can't even seem to get that out!
If anyone can shed some light on this for me it'll be great!
Its a facelift dash by the way (v5-v6)
Cheers,
Az.

Did mine about a year ago, the switch prized out with a small flat screwdriver. Alternatively, remove the dash-top oddments box and shove the switch out from the rear.
Once it's out, and the wiring is disconnected, it's not difficult to get it to bits, but work INSIDE, over/on a clear table/worksurface, with good lighting.
I got my bulb from Maplins, but can't remember what type it was, other than that it was 12V, wire ended. I'd suggest you get the bulb out, then go onto the Maplins website and match it up.
There is no soldering in removing/replacing the bulb, you just need tweezers, scissors, patience and good eyesight.

IIRC, the one I used was like this: Maplin > Wire Terminal Type
You don't need coloured bulbs as the switch has a coloured filter in it, it's amber for the HRW.
