Default can it be remapped

hi all can i have it remapped?
i have a 98' v5 with the phase 2 engine or do i have to have an aftermarket ecu fitted? cheers all

also if i turn boost up a couple l/bs and get fueling n timing etc set up to run with turbo bk system and filter is that thesame as mapping?????????? your comments would be great cheers

thats a good way to blow your engine up check if your ecu is an A800/801/802. If its one of those you will be fine

MY97/MY98 ECUs will shortly be able to be re-mapped, I believe. Im sure that I read a post from Bob Rawl suggesting that he'd have the required kit after Christmas...

currently after market only but will be mappable very soon as said.

Scoobyclinic can do it now mate!! i've a 1998 uk classic, they said it can be mapped without changing the ECU!!

Slow I know, but if it is a V5 then its a MY99 (built October 1998 >). That being so then an ECU-Tek would be the way forward. If it is a MY98 car then itll be a V4 and youll have to wait a while.

haven't we all.

I mistakenly read the post saying it was a 98.. when clearly it says in post 1 it is a v5.. and therefore can be ecutekd.

There was some doubt over the cars model year, which has now been resolved.
