Had to sell my scooby recently because of running costs bought a golf gttdi now i am missing my scoob so i need to get a cheap wrx or uk turbo wagon thinking a automatic might be a cheaper option any body know what the auto boxes are like are they reliable any help apreciated....

 

Why would it be cheaper ?? If you floor it all the time its still gonna drink the fuel !!

You can pick up a cheap run around Impreza now for a grand.. sadly

Just get one of those and run it into the ground !

there is a wagon on sidc and pistonheads its a 94 uk model. i rang the guy. he sounded very genuine, the car has a new jdm engine with a uk ECU running 308 at the wheels it has a good dose of whiteline handling enhancements on it. it seems a good buy he wants around £2800 for it. he just can't shift it. i had an auto legacy twin turbo even with the gearbox in sport it was crap! when approaching a corner when you come off the brakes and accelerate it took a second or two for the power to come back in it felt like i had no control over the car. i ended up buying a sti wagon. i will never buy another car with an auto box.

 

i should of looked first that wagon has now been sold, sorry. what price are you willing to pay? my wagon is for sale you see, its not advertised as yet.
