I'm a bit of a OE JDM parts fan, mainly due to me being a bit of a hardcore Honda nut and rare JDM parts are very much a big thing when modding a Honda, something I know isn't really a big thing when modding scooby's or evo's, but personally I like the wind deflectors, my v4 type r doesn't have wind deflectors, but if I could get my hands on some new ones for it I would! They do actually have a function at the end of the day, they worked very well on my civic, but I've noticed that scooby ones aren't as big so can't really comment on them. They did reduce wind noise by a lot, stopped the wind from forcing its way into the car with the window open and was also very good at stopping the rain from going all over the door panel if I had the window open on a slightly sh*tty day.
I'd keep them on, but each to they're own!

I used to have some on my Ep3 Ctr and really liked them.
As mentioned they look good imo, stop seats/your arm getting wet when raining and allow you to smoke without the ash being blown back in aswell.
But my advise is if you like them....leave them on and if you dont then take them off. Dont wory to much what other people think.
