Followed a Terzo from Cheltenham to Gloucester today well within the speed limit of course
Is the driver on these boards? Car looked cool, what sort of rear silencer have you get, looked to big to be standard.
Happy driving
Matt

DBM, but I wasn't around until 10.30, when the sun was out and the queues were gone!!
I'll keep an eye out for you though.
Matt
PS Thanks for the support(?) Andy.

I agree with Andy, we should have a forum devoted to this in teh future.
Otherwise how an earth would you find out who you have seen?! It would be very useful especially when trying to get to know people in an area or organising a meet.
Just my tuppence worth!

Matt, please don't start one of these boring "was it you" threads as this annoys some of the regulars ... try a topic of more general intrest like e.g. about how you "kill" Ford Cosworths or something.

Have to bring this up, but I also suggested a new Forum with this idea a while ago (and if the search facility was still up, I'd be able to tell you how long ago...) when there was discussions on introducing new forums. It may even have been in the days of sidc.bbs.co.uk, but not sure if it was *that* long ago
I think something like that would be a great idea
So webbie, wadya say

Hi All
...and thanks to alex for pointing me here...
OK, I am undecided on this...
Yes, these threads do annoy some people, but...
they don't have to read them.
Yes, they clutter up the general section, but...
Is there really enough of them to warrant a fresh dedicated forum?
Would we then need to set up a "talk about Cosworths" forum, and a "tv programs" forum, etc?
I will impliment the chages that the majority wants, but would add that I personally think it would be a waste to set up a seperate forum for "was this you?" but I could be wrong...
It may be that there would be FAR more of these threads if people were not affraid to post them for fear of ridicule, etc? In which case it would be well worth it.
thoughts?
Best regards
webby

I think the last comment about there may be more if people weren't afraid to post 'em due to the p155 being taken out of them, is possibly valid thou... i did once, cos I was after the blokes number plate, but wont do it again after that ones responses.
cheers, Alex

Webmaster,
Is it a lot of work to create and moderate a new forum? The Events forum was split into regions, which I belive could probably been left as one judging by the number of posts (I know, some people probably like this, so don't have a go ). So would one extra forum be too much work??
But, your comments that people will post if it's there is definilty valid. If it's a less formal place to post you will probably find that it will get used a lot. There have been lots of occaions were I've seen someone in passing and wondered if there on this BBS. I've never posted, as I didn't think it was an interesting enough post for the General setion.
If it gets setup and I'm the only one posting, then you can say I was wrong and not listen to anything I have to say again
EDIT. Err, not that anyone listens to me now...
Cheers.

Funny how a simple question can cause so much consternation.
Strangely enough, I agree with the Webmaster - if you don't like it don't read it (I know I'll get slated, so what?).
I think it's better to know who else is in your area, and surely this is a good way to find out.
At least all this debate keeps the thread current, so I might found out who it was
Sorry for wasting your time
Matt

OK, what am I missing here?!
This is a DISCUSSION board for anoraks owning/interested in Subaru Imprezas. (Correct me anytime I'm wrong here.....)
I don't understand why spotting one's fellow owners out and about is not worthy of discussion.
Anyone?

Me too.
Loads of Scoobs in Edinburgh - including some exotic varieties / upgraded ones. I've often wondered if any of them are on the BBS. (Mind you none of them wave )
Webbie, if it's not too much work, why not set up a "Was it you?" forum for a trial period to see if it's used?

Post what you like!
By the way, I've seen a cool looking DBM with 17" gold Speedlines and ScoobySport backbox around Gloucester a few times, when visiting relatives. Is that you by any chance?
I'm in a silver Evo, I'll wave if I see you! Don't try and keep up though

The idea of not posting because someone else might not like it is indirect censorship. Post what you like mate.(as long as it's legal !)

Sunil,
Apparently the paper said that the manager of the local B&Q was worried about their car park being used by prostitutes!!
I suppose if they make enough money, a V reg Scoob isn't beyod the realm of possibility

Matt.
Smilies mean I'm joking, but we used to get loads of these in the past and they did annoy some people.
The fact is that there are some 25-30,000 Scoobies out there, and probably only 500 Scooby owning people posting on this board on a regular basis. The chances of a Scooby that you see on the road also being a member of this bbs are pretty slim, though possible.
There are regional meets arranged for people that want to meet other owners, and I can't remember ever seeing any of these posts actually resulting in a "That was me!" reply.
Still, if people want to seek love or frindship from fellow Scooby owners, perhaps a new Forum is necessary!
Stef.

If there's room for the muppet forum and its 1200 posts on one thread, then there's room for a forum to touch base with fellow owners. And those who don't like was it you? posts can safely steer round the forum.
