Right it goes like this bought my beloved Turbo in December 2000, 0n the 15th November 2001 I get a letter from Subaru UK asking me if I would like to extend my warranty for another 12months for £348 So I thought yep I'll have some of that rang them up gave them my details and credit card number and 2 months on have heard sod all, So yesterday I phoned them only to be told that my money was put on to another car with a simular registation, So the lady on the phone said sorry bout that we will change it and you will get your papers through early next week, What has really Pi**ed me off they made the mistake but will not date the warranty from this month they told me it has to be from the date I asked for it November 2001.........If this is what happens when you ask for an extended warranty **** KNOWS what will happen if something does go wrong with the car.

Is that how expensive it is, £348 a year?? So let me get this straight after 3 years I will have to pay :
36 month/3 year service = £450
12 months roadtax = £160
Extended waranty = £348
Set of tyres (lasting around 18 months a set) = £400
Total = £1358...
As it's on a PCP they are definitely getting it back at 2 years 11 months old!

Sorry, I totally agree with Subaru. What have you lost - nothing!
Are you in the same position as you would have been if the warranty had been extended at the time - yes!
As to the supposition as to what might have happened if you had a warranty claim - well, you haven't!
Warranty is basically a form of insurance, and insurance is only designed to put you in the position you would have been in prior to any loss.....

I must admit I would be naffed off at their poor admin, but as Dave said, you aren't any worse off than before, so I would let it be. So many companies seem to employ chimps to do their admin these days, just be grateful they have finally sorted it out...

Sorry, my reply was probably a bit curt, I do agree however it doesn't excuse the sloppy administration, but that appears to be normal pretty much everywhere these days (doesn't make it right though)
