I'm on a spy mission from the muppet forum

but I do have an intel - inteli - intelig - INTELIGENT phew that was hard - question...

the last couple of days when the revs are between 3k and 4k it feels like a power loss - not the same as turbo lag - then suddenly it snaps back with a vengence - is there a reason for this or is it just the weather conditions at the moment?

Question

Is this the famous 'hesitation' problem?

If it happens in every gear when accelerating hard, sounds like Overboost.

Topped your oil up lately or had a service?

Check your oil level (on a flat surface), it should be below MAX. If it isnt the oil vapours contaminates the boost sensor and pipes fooling the ECU thats there is too much boost. Thus breifly shutting down the engine, feels like you have hit something!

Drain excess oil and clean out your pipes around the boost sensor with brake cleaner. May take a few times.

Hope this helps
