I saw a Porcsh GT3RS the other day fitted with 295 tyres....wow!!

19" alloys and 235/35 tyres... nowhere near as large as 295 wide tyres... ride is still as good (if not better) than the 225/45/17 RE070's.

18" alloys with 215/45/18 tyres. Increases the rolling circumference of my wheels (I wanted to increase the gearing of my Type R )

Not cheap tyres at over £160 per corner.

slightly off topic, what offset should be used on 17's & 18's to clear 4 pots.

Very much depends on the wheel - typically it's the spokes that cause the problems. I assume that you mean Brembo's, if not then many* 17's/18's will clear Subaru 4 pots. You need to check each wheel, or have someone on here with the same wheels you can advise.

*I said many as I was going to say most, but I wouldn't want to mislead you!

Yes, I'm sure the tyres do. Read my earlier post - it's the rims that may not clear the brakes, not the tyres!
