Big thanks to VSIB (Alarm Certification Body)
New car has a TOAD alarm but previous owner had lost install cert (which insurance company wants). When i enquired on the web, I got a quote back for £150 to 'service' alarm and re-certificate !?!?!?!?!
However, I had also sent an email to VSIB (National Regulatory and Accreditation body for Vehicle Systems Installers) using their 'contact us' form. Expecting no response before 2008, I was pleasantly surprised when they replied with two (very) local approved installers. One phone call later and I'm booked in for £30 re-cert.
Well done VSIB! But could you please make your website easier to use.
So, if any of you lose your certificate and the insurance company wants one, dont shell out for a new alarm or pay too much to get it checked.
