first time i've seen that as well - i think its better than the hot-hatch look, but it still looks a bit soft or "fluffy". Its not raw looking enough.

I can agree with Subaru that they probably need/needed to do something to enhance their chances of selling more main stream cars. After all, you probably see more performance scoobies on the road than their mainstream models. However, the new standard cars are not any specific leap forward when comparing it to it's rivals such as the Civic, Focus etc etc. Where they've really f****ed up is that they are chasing away their customers of the performance brigade too with styling I can only describe as more akin to Hyundi / Kia / Proton etc - it really is that crap!!!

The legend of the Impreza that is scoobies heritage is lost on this styling alone and I wonder if they're so keen to back track as they were when the "bug-eye" model was so heavily slated?

PS I don't think the saloon styling is any better!!

Imagine a STi version of the WRX saloon!!!! (thats what we really want)

I do like the upgraded sports grill on the 2008 WRX! makes the front end look a lot neater!!!

I hear Subaru are already re-designing the new car 'cos of the appalling feedback and poor write-ups.

Bugeye number 2? No thanks. I'd rather have an EVO!

I have to be honest, the bugeye WRX had more appeal than the new one. At least it was being something, even if that was a bug. It was that, that made the car standout from the rest, it just doesnt do that now.

The Sti is looking like it could be a contender though!
