Default power upgrade

we are in the process of shopping around to up the power of our standard wrx
prices seem to vary wildly for a stage one conversion has anyone had any work done by people like tsl ,scoobyclinc ,racesolutions ect so we can have more of an idea of value for money ,customer satisfaction and the likes .we are based around sheffield so if youve had any work done by any midlands tuners let us know how much it was and the difference in power you got

i will be going back some time at the end of the year 4 a new turbo and 350 BHP

what wrx do you have would prob help people advice you. and it was a massive jump in power makes a wrx faster than a STI

as above your best off ringing having a chat telling them what power you want and they'll give you advice, i've seen alot of tsl's work and they are top quality friendly to talk to and really know their stuff as do some of the others you mentioned hope this helps, personaly wouldn't go for a package upgrade

TSL are actually closer - they are in Notts.

The way you need to play it is to either state "my budget is £xxx" or "I want xxx BHP" to a few suppliers and see what they offer.

Listen to folks recommendations on here and also listen to what the tuners say - you'll know when you find one on the same wavelength as you.

A good start would be a full decat (or better still a sports cat downpipe, if you don't want MoT hassles) and a remap. Costs would depend on your choice of exhaust, but a full TSL system with sportscat, remap and fitting would cost close to £2k. You may want an uprated fuel pump and panel filter too.

Power wise, you should get around 290bhp. To get more than this, you will have to change the turbo and injectors. Not sure what this would cost and whether the std gearbox could take it.

Would also be worth fitting a whiteline roll bar and Prodrive springs for maximum effect (around £150 and £500 fitted respectively).

All IMHO, of course!

Evo magazine did a write up of the prodrive and aftermarket upgrades for an STI. I assume the findings will be the same for a WRX.

BTW the TSL 333 pack was considered the best for the money (IIRC)
