need help, :confused:
my upgraded turbo was missing at high rpms so i bought another one because the mechanic said that it was broken. now he is telling me i need to upgrade to 850cc injectors. he is recommending RC injectors but they are $180 each, i found some power enterprise ones at $130 a pop. at the risk of pointing out the obvious, thats a $200 difference. which should i get, also is he diagnosing the car correctly?

I'm no expert but If a classic 1999 Version 5 onwards they are able to Rmemap with EcuTeK software. "He" should be able to see the IDC injector duty cycle is

i had a deadbolt sz65 turbo installed, with a front mound intercooler connected to a methanol injection kit, a straight pipe exhaust without a caddy and an upgraded enjine running about 430bhp. the car was running fine on this turbo except at high rpms it would miss or kind of keep cutting in. does any one know if it is the turbo, injectors, or both?

Classic or newage, What ECU are you using, GEMS? Who's Mapping it?
Overboost protection! RPM limiter even! MAF sensor and the list goes on and on and on.
maybe need to go back to Basics, before you try flying to the Moon
1) 4 good plugs, leads and coil pack
2) 4 good inectors (correct size for power output , not guessed)
3) 4 Cylinders with equal compression
4) Uprated fuel pump and Pressure regulator
5) Good MAF sensor
Most of all you need someone who knows what they are doing , as Harveys adviced above and find someone local with a Scooby reputation
Putting a Parts Magnet on your Engine and then driving it through a spare Parts shop, and whatever sticks, fit it
is not the best way to get good Performance. IMHO

A turbo timer just keeps the car running for a period after you turn off the engine. This allows the turbo to cool down which is not an issue for 99% of turbo users who don't rag their car and them immediately switch it off. A couple of mins at low revs negates the need for a turbo timer.
