Scoob vs MR2
Hello people,
This may seem abit of a stupid question to ask but me and my mate have got a 100pound bet on who can get the quickest time up the strip at Santapod, what do you guys think would win, a 260bhp MR2 or my 335bhp Scooby?
Thanks

With decent drivers in both the scoob as if launched perfectly it will tear up the first section. Just my opinion but having owned both that's what my money would be on.
. rear engined, rwd and far less tranny loss than us but it's going to be the start that wins it for the scooby easily if done right.

MR2 Turbo imports arent that fast standard atall so an extra 15bhp wont make hardly any difference.
A 335 bhp Scooby would easily leave one behind on a 1/4mile run.

Had a similar race in the past only the guy in question had well in excess of 300bhp in his mr2 and i had 320 in my scoob. The guy in the MR2 was also much better at laucnching then me, the end result was near enough equal. both landing on 13.3 in the end. (He was actually slightly faster.
)
So i reckon you will win!

I have had both of these cars, both with almost indentical power. As said above, the MR2 will struggle off the line, but once moving the Mr2 would do well, but the scoob even with losses through AWD would be quicker.
A true 330bhp Scoob is a quick car. Not many scoobs can claim a real 330bhp. It takes more than a exhaust, filter,and remap to get 330 from a classic scoob. But 260bhp from MR2 don't take much at all.
It will all depend how aggresive they are launched and whether the figures quoted are real figures or pub talk figures based on modifications done only.
