It depends on your preference I guess (tart it or performance) but my thinking is that if it goes better it probably looks better too...
Ask yourself why are you going for bigger wheels and lower suspension...?,
because bigger wheels should equate to better tyres and hence more grip (faster) and lower suspension should be lower centre of gravity, better body control etc (faster).
Granted you can do both for looks only and they can make the car worse to drive but they look better because they are closer to the racer you want to emulate.

Here's the list I used (as far as I remember):

0.5 - alarm
1 - Exhaust & Air filter (SS & ITG)
2 - quickshift (make the lever shorted)
3 - lights (cibie spots)
3.5 - turbo timer/boost gauge
4 - Brakes (AP)
5 - ECU (Link)
6 - dump valve & FSE, hoses
7 - 17" wheels ('cos I wanted 17" SO2's)
8 - Leda suspension ('cos it needed a bit of improvement after 7)
9 - hi-fi
10 - colour code sills (rest was done as standard) and someone dented my door so I had some paint left over...

I skipped a bigger spoiler as I'm trying to avoid the 'look at me' approach and I haven't yet noticed a need for the higher stability it should give.

Hope it helps
Hodge

If I'm not in the car I say don't bother modifying it's a waste of time and money, it makes the car noisy, it bangs and creaks, I can't go over a bump without cringing.........

but when I get behind the wheels it's

Just to echo Davej_Smith's point
In CCC last month there was a a guy with a Golf who got 20bhp more on a rolling road when his throttle linkage was ajdusted properly.

1. Tyres because they're the only contact the car has with the ground (and I don't mean, get tyres which look nice:P)
2. Bump steer mod (did this first, but hey)
3. Brakes (next for me)
4. Power - haven't worked out what I'm going to do, but PPP is on the list potentially.

After that - why bother?

Cool

I have to say Ed, I'm a bit worried about your list... its all show with no go . Although some could correctly argue that a Scoob is powerful enough already (allthough plenty would disagree). Mind you who am I talk as all I've done is:

1. Tracker
2. Scooby Sport Backbox
3. ITG panel filter
4. STI Carbon front fibre strut brace
5. Momo Race Air Leather gear **** (well, it matches the steering wheel ).
6. Headlamp protectors (doesn't really count does it)
7. Baby seat (not a lot of choice with that one!)

Mmmm... I think I need a pay rise so I can some more proper mods...
