It shouldn't be a hard to get parts (i'm running a 93wrx and have never had any problems) you must be speaking to the wrong people
Nothing wrong with imports as they do come better equipped (folding electric mirrors, aircon etc) the wagons only seem to differ slightly in power and a little heavier.

Second that. I've never had a problem with parts for my import. Even my local Stealer will get them, they just need the part number which is written upon the old bit.

dont do it if you want a wagon pre96 get a uk model you get a genuine proper service history and a much better turbo td05 standard instead of import td04 turbo that you will end up changing anyway for the td05 like most do.
oh and by the way my uk wagon is for sale view my scooby
£2800

UK WAGON pre96:

you dont need to drive all over the place looking for 99ron
you dont have to plan your holiday route a week in advance around petrol stations.
you get the much better td05 turbo not the very average td04
you get a service history and not a service history written by someone working at the local takeaway.
you get a proper foglight and clocks.
insurance group 17 instead of 20.

IMPORT WAGONpre96:

you get more power 220bhp instead of uk poor 208bhp
usually rust free.

the 208bhp can be sorted easily for the uk decat filter scott.t 275-290bhp
import a bit dearer but not much as you will have to change turbo.

theres alot of ignorant people out there who say i dont want the estate version i dont like them, too big, which i hate as they are every bit as good as a saloon at the end of the day the wagon or saloon is a great car import or uk whatever you choose im sure you will enjoy.

Have an import 95 Wagon, wasn't even looking for one when I found it but bought it anyhow. Very glad I did.. its plenty quick enough standard, and was cheap compared to Uk models.

Ok its cheap as it had no history and some really naff tyres, but my mate owns a garage so parts are cheap an di can do the labour myself! Never been interested in service history on sub 5k cars anyhow! Just go on its condition personally!
