rb320 drive

rb320 drive
was disappointed with drive yesterday firmer at lower speeds than my ast suspension! and a lot less powerful on full acceleration than my car which only has 30bhp difference.
the car due to 18" wheels the car tramlined heavily with heavy steering

mine is decat 333 with chargecooler,333 is not decat but comes with either thundercat or prodrive cat can be used.
my suspension is not standard ast 12 way uprated rear arb strutbraces f+r so i was very surprised by how firm rb320 ride was !evo mag said it is too hardcore for some and i agree
martin
ps see my scooby for full spec

Martin,
Odd that, I did find the RB320 a fairly good ride compared to my MY06 T20 with AST's and handled pretty good around the Track as said certainly not overpowered but a nice Torquey motor.
IMHO probably the best UK newage car produced and with any setup it is about a compromise between comfort and track handling
Tony
IIRC Tramling is normally only the tyres used

was gonna say, i run same wheels / tyres on my STI 07 and dont get tramlining.
I had an 06 STI when the RB320 came out and drove a mates RB320 thru some familar lanes and suspension was not as harsh as mine standard STI setup
I now have the 07 STI with Prodrive springs, I would say that RB320 setup is still less 'hardcore' then mine.

i was very surprised by the ride to be honest and drove the same road later in my car with17's no tramlining and my 2 kids in the back were fine,in the rb320 it felt like the back especially was overdampened!very bizarre

ps do you think my drive was in a dodgey one-it only has 3,000 miles on it still tight?

Someone might have had the Rear anti-roll bar on the firmest setting may give an impression of over-dampening on straigt bumpy B roads
IMHO
