I assumed it was probably an optional extra charge you could pay on top of your regular premium to Priviege ?

As far as my policy with Privilege goes, track day cover is free as long as you tell them you are going on the day in advance.

Same for me with Privilege - No extra provided they are informed. Anybody know if this is true for tracks on the continent (i.e. Spa) ? I presume the ring is counted as normal roads ?

just got of the phone to him, he changed to privilege as they made a one off charge to use named tracks, instead of the £55 per track event with his other insurer.
He's done 3 track sessions and reckons he's saved £100 already, but he's going to give them a ring to see if it's changed since he took it out.

Thumbs up

Excellent News.

I have just gone with Privelege for my RA, they were by far the cheapest out of about 7/8 companies I called.

another privilege benefit I took advantage of was a driving assessment, which cost about £45, but you get a 10% discount, and the cheque for £130 dropped on to the door mat just the other day, thank you very much.

Phoned Privilege yesterday about my renewal. It's cheaper than last year but the under writer is now Direct Line. However I was also told that track day cover was no longer included. Will phone again tomorrow to confirm.

Regards

Yes, but dont cancel your policy early, you get stung 10% of the annual policy + some b***** admin charge... and thats only when they can be bother to pick up the phone after 25+ mins of kak-music...

customer service, pah!

ggrrr

Rum* - ever considered running customer service courses for other insurers?? I reckon you'd do well, a lot seem to need it.

Right guys & gals...

I did make "the phone call" BUT

"Priviledge have stopped offering track cover since August - it was costing too much money..."

For those who believe they are covered, its worth checking JIC...

(Reason it took a while to respond is that some BT worker with hob-nailed boots took out our leased line )
