Thumbs up

As well as the already excellent range of clothing?

I assume the intention is to offer actual parts? Assuming this is the case I would like to see reasonably priced clear front/side indicators, spoilers and tyres.

Chris.. great suggestions!

Yes, the idea is to offer a full range of products, not just ScoobyNet merchandise.

Octane Booster, Brake Pads, you name it.

in fact... You Name It!! LOL

You could offer personalised stationary, T shirts etc. Get a picture send in and transfer it onto a T shirt, boxer shorts etc etc.

Also Once a year compose a video of the best of the years track action. Or maybe a video of SDB's top driving tips as done in a muppet proof fashion.

I'd buy that for a dollar

insurance?

Flamesuit on, car leaving premises at high speed, heading for the batcave

seriously though. Nametags would be good. Would feel right at home at a trackday if I was wearing a nametag walking aboot and others were wearing them as well.

Boxer shorts were mentioned - you could have them printed with 'Power and Performance Guaranteed!'

I think everything sensible has been covered (Sith excluded ). How about stocking up on some of the Scooby Doo stuff they have down at the Warner Bros store - would they let you stock it?

Markus...

Off the shelf insurance policies...good idea...NOT!...R U trying to put me out of business!!!...I know Boots and M&S and Sainsburys sell insurance policies off the shelf...but there's not need to swear at me and suggest that Scoobynet does the same...

Good job you went to get the flame suit!...

Not a bad idea tho for certain types of insurance Simon...we could possibly set up a Travel or Personal Accident scheme...Legal Expenses...alsorts...

maybe drop me a mail Simon we might be able to work something out

maybe you could just set up a 'group buy' section as seen frequently on the US BBS ?

- being able to predict what people want, and carrying stock of things that may not sell is a bit tricky - however, it would be nice if some of the things that are unreasonably expensive in the UK were available from a source that was less profit orientated...

especially the things that 'scooby' likes to consume in double quick time - like tyres, brake discs and pads, octane booster etc.

not sure you could 'post' the latter in the mail though.

buying stock of more popular items from the current sti parts catalogue would be nice, as these items are both hard to source and prohibitively expensive - (one reason why the list of alternative parts-suppliers for the impreza is burgeoning in the UK).

cheers,
Paul W

What about the ability to suggest a co-buy sort of scenario. You could than approach companies like Philips (bulbs) and ask them for preferential rates when buying (say) 100 H4 lamps.....

Somebody on this board bought an AP Racing 4-pot kit from letsbuyit.com. Wouldn't it be good if we could get group buys for the more expensive items (e.g. 10% off 1500 quid is worth having...)?

How about selling kit 'Scoobynet approved/recommended', e.g. 'Simon Sez these Toyo T1-Ss are great when going sideways -- buy here for only 300 quid a set'. It might be useful as a replacement for the search tool, so instead of seeing which brake discs others have had good/bad results with, I can just buy the Scoobynet recommended ones. Of course, this relies on an enormous amount of trust (and are there any legal ramifications if said discs crack after 3000 miles?)

Personally, I would have thought that anything that is a bit of a pain to find for some people would be good. Certain types of brake pads, octane booster, clear indicator lenses etc.

The mouse mat thing is quite a good idea. A friend of mine used to know a good company, but they closed down. So if anyone knows a good mouse mat company could they let me know.

Top priority for me would be some more cream, as the itching's started again.

Quite often there are reasonable cost savings to be made from importing goods. As a private buyer the cost of postage/delivery offsets some of this. Maybe is Scoobyshop could make this cost effective somehow, it would open up the door to a wider range of products being available.

An example being that OZ sell the 17" anthracite from the P1 in the US.

Just an idea.

Puff The Magic Wagon! had some good ideas there, mouse mats especially, since thats where Scoobynet is orientated- around using computers and the net to form a community.
Another thought on this- why didn't you opt to include the scoobynet address,

If you sell brakes, maybe some info on the pad types to enlighted buyers such as improvement over standard, amount of dust they generate, good for track, when used with xyz discs make a good upgrade using standard calipers etc.

Might save people asking the same questions all the time.

thanks

If u r willing to sell anything, wot about COSWORTH parts???? They dont break that often, so you would'nt have to keep much stock.

Seriously though, keep up the good work m8.

As a retail / mail order supplier we are always keen to be involved with club initiatives. If a club were to approach us with the principal of combined purchasing then i am sure a suitable discount on any usual sellling price can be arranged. We have already tried to implement one or two special offers towards the Scoobynet over recent weeks (Eibach , twin lamp kits , clear indicators etc.) but it is difficult to justify a large discount and stock when maybe 1 person will take on board the offer. We recently struck a deal with some of the GTiR club guys for 10 Mongoose exhausts and saved them £70.00 each. Deals of this nature are posible on a whole host of items as long as the numbers are suitably high enough and the orders are genuine (people pulling out at the last always mess things up!!).
By all means contact us if this is of use to anyone. We specialise mainly in exhasuts , brakes, suspension , springs, lights, wheels, air filters etc at present but the range is growing so other items can be introduced. in the mean time we will endeavour to continue our special offers for Scoobynet if the ideas above do not come off

cheers
