Having been vocal in critisism of Scoobysport in the past, it is only fair that I redress the balance!

Ordered a backbox from Pete, who despite my appalling hangover, was very understanding and helpful! It was delivered overnight and arrived by 10am the following morning.

It may be more expensive than most of the other back boxes on the market - but boy is it worth it! Only just had it fitted, so it is still being 'carboned' up (only done 120 miles with it). But so far, so VERY good

Not really made a staggering difference performance wise (from Prodrive box) and if anything, it has marginally reduced mid-range (2500-3000rpm) grunt, but above 3500/4000 rpm, it does pulls stronger to the red line. - I guess because it is free-er flowing unit, and hence less back pressure??

And as for the exhaust note...

Thanks Pete, the changes you have made have obviously worked well - almost as well as the BackBox itself

Thumbs up

Hi Gary

so I think some out of your "120 bedding in miles" have been used to take your former backbox to Royal Mail
Good to hear that your happy with the SS.

Enjoy

Mike

Cool

Gawd, next day delivery!

My drunken flatmate ordered the full system the other day. Looking forward to receiving a call from Fedex, Pete don't forget about the loonies from Hongkong

Why were you running with your back box in the car park Dave?

Don't worry, the sound of rusty cogs will give plenty of warning

What year is it? I read that only the early large turbo's did it. Or those with after market TB's and Link mapping etc.

No bloody fear!!

and you can never have too much noise (compensates for lack of height )

Swapped out of interest more than anything. Minor performance benefit, but the exhaust note....mmmmmmmm......sweet exhaust note

Gary,

Do I detect from your previous post that you have managed a few flameouts from your system?

I thought I might get some flames with a full Scoobysport system from turbo back but no sign as yet

Maybe I'm not driving hard enough

Any pointers?

James

Don't know exactly when it does it (can't see the back of car when driving ), just had other motorists ask me if I know my car is on fire! and complaints from my wife when she follows me

Only seems to do when engine/exhaust very hot

Mine is a MY99

JDS,

Dark Jedi!

Is the midsectioned resonated? I also read that this stopped the flames.
