not sure of colour though, its a MY00 Turbo 2000 in blue, but what type of blue?, i thought it was Redish Blue but seemed a lot lighter then what i'd seen of Redish Blue ones in photos, then yesterday i met the bloke who owned the car before me and he said is was infact the same as the P1 Blue? is this true? is it a uk spec import?

Hard to tell how a colour compares without seeing it.

Ditto, without seeing it.

However, the only UK spec Sonic Blue (P1 Colour) cars that have been sold are the Terzo, 22B and P1. I wouldn't say that reddish-blue was very much darker than the Sonic Blue though, although the reddish-blue seems to look a slightly different shade every time I see one.

If you post the paint code up, people will know exactly which colour you are referring to. It can be found on the chassis plate next to the N/S strut top mount under the bonnet, and will read something like "94H" (but not this, as it's red mica) or similar.

Thumbs up

If it's a MY00 import then the colour will be Rallye Blue - it's very similar to the P1 and 22B blue but I don't think it's exactly the same. This colour was only available in Mainland Europe and the Republic of Ireland - and it's lovely

I had a 98 Reddish Blue & have in the last 2 weeks brought a P1
the colour is a fair bit lighter on the P1
Also you can see a colour change in the Reddish blue which you obviuosly cant on Sonic Blue

Cool

Peccy,
I would say that it is a UK spec euro import in sonic blue/rally blue what ever with paint code 74F same as P1/22b. The offical UK spec blue is Dark Blue Mica DBM with is a dark Blue
Compare euro UK spec MY00 againts 22B

Dave... I think you're a year out.

MY99/00 DBM is Dark Blue Mica (mine is MY99 DBM). MY01 is Deep Blue Mica.

Colour introduced in MY99 along with the other minor changes. I'd got my order in for the car and phoned up after I'd read about the upcoming changes and altered my order from Reddish Blue, to DBM.

(Waited 11 monts and 2 weeks, and the bu66ers still forgot to colour code the other bits!! )

Nope, I have a UK MY00 and it's Deep Blue. Dark Blue stopped on the 99's. They are both dark blue , but dark blue is a bit darker than deep blue. I'm pretty certain that the lighter reddish blue/sonic blue colours were only available on imports or special editions until the new shape appeared.

Never understood reddish blue myself, to me it looks like light blue (cyan) but it always sounds like it should look green!

Not nitpicking, but for the sake of accuracy, DBM on a MY00 = Deep Blue Mica, DBM on a MY99 or prior = Dark Blue Mica, and both are different colours.

Oh, this one is going to get confusing.....LOL
