Cracked Windscreen!!
Hi,
Was following a friend the other day through a country road and he decided to flick a stone on to my widscreen and put huge crack in it! (not his fault obviously)
As im not fully comp it gonna cost me an absolute fortune judging by some of the quotes ive had. (e.g autoglass = £485 )
Has anyone had one replaced lately? if so how much and who?
Alternativley would it be cheaper to get a second hand one fitted-i.e one from a written off scoob?
any help grateful

Go down to your local subaru dealership and find out how much a new screen is from them, I think you will find its not that bad, then find a windscreen fitter to fit it for a £50 bung. I know this as one of my mates scoobs needed a new screen, He insisted on a genuine screen rather than the windscreen companys own brand, we asked them how much the subaru one was and £160-£180 rings a bell.

Had mine done t'other day by RAC and it would have cost 250ish without insurance. I also managed to get a Subaru screen instead of their garbage for no extra cost.
